Noble Home creator and owner, Noah Grunberg, was born in rural upstate New York. Initially trained as an Industrial Designer, he served as an intern in a timberframe shop during the summers and built a passive solar house with his architect father. As an apprentice in the Taliesin Fellowship, Grunberg studied the principles of organic architecture as practiced by Frank Lloyd Wright. Continuing studies in Boston, Massachusetts, Grunberg experimented with human powered machines while living in an urban warehouse space as an experiment in minimalist living - with little heat and a garden hose as a solar water heater. Soon after, he founded JASONOAH design-build (
www.JASONOAH.com) with fellow Taliesin apprentice Jason Silverman. Together, with a dedicated crew of artisans, they designed and built numerous projects over the next 12 years including urban loft-space build-outs, additions and appropriate residences in rural environments throughout New England. Grunberg has lectured at the Cambridge Adult Education Center and the Alternative Energy Store on sustainable building and appropriate architecture.
