Noble Homes utilize single story building systems built with natural, healthy materials. Designs can vary greatly within the basic structural systems.

With your approval of a design, Noble Home will engineer the design for your region, and submit the following to you:

• Construction drawings necessary for building permits
• Construction drawings adequate for a professional builder to complete a finished Noble Home including foundation plan and construction details.
• Assembly handbook convenient for assembly of the Noble Home kit
• Manufacturer’s installation requirements for materials/products included in the kit

STANDARD NOBLE HOME DESIGN

The original Noble Home building system is a typical 20' width on the interior and can be designed to be any length on a 4' module. They can be designed to fit a variety of climates and heavy snow loads. Below are some sample plans. Pricing shown is for the typical house kit shell only. Interior components are at additional cost. Most people opt for a custom design to maximize their site specifics such as solar exposure and views. Read about our custom design process below.

SMALL HOME DESIGN - BRAND NEW! Like the Standard Noble Home kit building system, the Small Home is adaptable to varying climates and building sites to maximize the solar potential as needed for space heating and solar hot water heating. Its structure is a an A-frame and holds the structural integrity that triangulation offers, therefore, these small homes are easily made hurricane and earthquake proof. The standard 570 square foot house kit plan is a one bedroom, one bath with optional small storage or sleeping loft space. It will include all the materials and parts needed to complete the house shell along with major interior components such as partitions and cabinets. These kits will be starting at about $35,000. Net zero energy kits will also be offered complete with solar powered systems for heating and electrical power generation to help owner-builders take the guess work out of self-sufficiency.

CUSTOM DESIGN PROCESS

Using the completed Preliminary Estimate Form that you fill out, we will provide some initial consultation and a preliminary quote at no cost to you. Upon receiving a deposit (typically about 10% of the preliminary quote), we will design a home that complements your building site and includes all your desired features and materials. We will submit a preliminary design for your review. After your satisfaction and approval, we will complete and deliver to you engineer approved construction drawings for your house.

We also provide a "Napkin Sketch" service for $200 (for most projects) in which we will provide you with a Noble Home solution on your property in sketch form. We will still need some good site plan info to properly site the building.

Construction Drawings:

Our construction drawings will detail and specify all of the structural elements of your home from foundation to roof and as much of the interior as you wish. Drawings will, at minimum, include foundation plans, floor plan, framing plan, building sections, and construction details. If you desire, we can continue with interior elevations, electrical/lighting layout, and other interior or architectural details.
