Kit of Materials
The
typical Noble Home kit includes all the materials needed to complete
and weatherproof the shell of an efficient, super-insulated modern
house with the exception of some insulated glass units that are more
effectively measured on-site to reduced construction errors.
Most of the materials are precut and easily assembled. Some trim,
siding and wood ceiling material may need to be cut to size during
installation as in conventional construction. All specialty fasteners
are also supplied. Common screws or nails must be locally purchased as
needed. All materials are non-toxic and/or recyclable, and our wood is
grown and milled locally. See below for the Standard Components of the
kit.
Kit Delivery
With a final kit price and estimated delivery date, your Noble Home
will be produced and prepared for shipping. This will take 8-10 weeks.
To save shipping and handling costs, your kit may come in two or more
deliveries, some of them direct from a supplier. You may acquire
building permits and start your site and foundation work while awaiting
the kit deliveries.
Typical Noble Home package pricing
starts around $45 per square foot for the actual Noble Home kit. Any
on-site construction such as an earth berm lower level would be
contracted by the owner although Noble Home could provide materials for
this such as siding, doors, windows, and interior partitions.
